Hello, Welcome to Mellymoo!
My name is Melissa, I am wife to a wonderful man, mother of 2 gorgeous girls and a small business owner who loves the idea of Kingdom Business. We are property investors, and we love renovating. I currently work in admin as well as running three micro businesses; Mellymoo (this one), Little Biz (WordPress Websites & Small Biz Workshops) and I am still running my very first online product based business – Outdoor Beanbags. We live on a hobby farm on the outskirts of Perth, WA.
Most importantly, I am a daughter of the most high King, and my heart is to worship our amazing Lord and Saviour. I love sharing His truth, and I love being part of a group of businesses whose passion is to further the Kingdom of God through business (that we like to call Kingdom Business). As a family, we love traveling, so the last couple of years have been quite difficult for us! When I’m not working, traveling or tending to our hobby farm animals, you will probably find me cooking up a storm, dreaming up new business ideas, creating new mellymoo designs… or you’ll find me hiding away reading a book or chilling in my hammock under the trees.

Why Leggings?
You know what I have found to be the common factor of my businesses? They have started from a passion of mine. The beanbags started when I stumbled across some beanbags in Bali when we were there for Christmas in 2011. I LOVE beanbags and I managed to turn it into a great little online business. Fast forward a few years (ok, more than a few)… I was looking for an alternative to my plain black leggings that I was wearing all the time.
I had a vision – these leggings needed to be super comfortable, show personality, align with my values and belief system. As a lady who is plus sized, I have been increasingly frustrated by the amount of cool clothes that we don’t have access to, or just don’t fit properly. I’m on a mission to provide a range of leggings (and clothing) that caters right from child size to plus size – in fun and funky designs – and super comfortable.
I’m a bit of a control freak when it comes to quality and the right fit, so we will always be tweaking sizing, designs and fabrics to ensure our high standard is always reached. PLUS: Who doesn’t love leggings?!
